Whole Grain Irish Soda Bread

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a food processor and mix briefly.
- Add cold butter and process until crumb-like texture is achieved.
- In a separate bowl, mix buttermilk, egg, and maple syrup.
- Add the wet mixture to the food processor and process until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a bowl and mix in raisins by hand.
- Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a buttered cast iron skillet.
- Score the top of the dough with a knife, making an 'x' about ½ inch deep.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until browned and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Brush with melted butter while cooling.
