Rainbow Swiss Chard

Ingredients

The chard

  • 1 pound rainbow Swiss chard

The seasoning

  • 2 clove garlic
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste fresh pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over medium heat.
  2. Smash and chop the garlic, then add it to the pan.
  3. If using, add red pepper flakes and sauté the garlic until golden.
  4. Chop the Swiss chard stems into small pieces and add them to the pan.
  5. Mix and add a drop of water, then cover and cook for about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Chop the leaves of the Swiss chard and add them to the pan.
  7. Sauté the leaves until just wilted, stirring frequently.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
