Sesame Sautéed Swiss Chard

Ingredients

The sauté

  • 2-3 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

The greens

  • 1 bunch Swiss chard leaves, stems removed, roughly chopped

The seasoning

  • 2-3 tsp tamari
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over low-medium heat and add sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant.
  2. Add the Swiss chard and increase the heat to medium, mixing to coat the greens in the oil and garlic mixture.
  3. Once the greens wilt slightly, add tamari and toss to coat.
  4. Add water, cover, and reduce heat to low, cooking for 8-10 minutes until the greens are tender.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more tamari or water as needed, and serve warm.
