Sweet Potato Black Bean Burgers

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF and spread the black beans on a baking sheet to dry for about 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté the chopped onion until softened, then add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- In a bowl, combine the sautéed onion and garlic with the dried black beans, mashed sweet potato, oat flour, BBQ sauce, cumin, and salt.
- Use a fork to mix and mash the beans slightly to form a sticky batter.
- Scoop the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, shaping it into burger patties about ¾-inch thick.
- Bake the burgers for 20 minutes, then flip and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until slightly dry around the edges.
- Serve warm on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
