Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and grease two standard doughnut pans.
- In a bowl, beat together butter, vegetable oil, and sugars until smooth.
- Add eggs and mix well.
- Stir in baking powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract.
- Alternate adding flour and milk to the mixture, starting and ending with flour.
- Spoon the batter into the doughnut pans, filling them to about ¼ inch from the rim.
- Bake standard doughnuts for 9-10 minutes or mini doughnuts for 4-5 minutes.
- Let the doughnuts cool slightly before removing them from the pans.
- Prepare the glaze and dip the tops of the doughnuts into it, then sprinkle with desired toppings.
