Instructions
- Heat the milk until scalded and pour it into a stand mixer bowl.
- Add butter, sugar, and salt, then mix until melted and cool to warm.
- Add yeast and egg, then mix until combined.
- Gradually add flour until the dough clears the sides of the bowl.
- Knead the dough for 2-3 minutes until soft and slightly sticky.
- Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter on top.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the butter, and pat down.
- Roll the dough tightly starting from one long end and seal the seam.
- Cut the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased 9X13-inch pan and let rise until puffy, about 1 to 1 ½ hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for 18-22 minutes until slightly golden.
- Prepare the icing by whipping cream cheese and butter, then adding milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar.
- Spread icing on warm rolls and serve.
