Ingredients

The eggs

  • 6 - 8 large eggs

The water

  • 1 inch water

Instructions

  1. Add about 1-inch of water to a medium pot.
  2. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat and insert a steamer basket.
  3. Set eggs on the steamer basket and cover with a lid.
  4. Let the eggs cook for 6 to 15 minutes depending on desired doneness.
  5. While the eggs are cooking, fill a medium bowl with ice and water.
  6. Once the eggs are done cooking, immediately transfer them to the ice water to cool.
  7. Let the eggs rest for at least a few minutes before peeling.
  8. To peel, crack the egg all over, roll it on the countertop, and run it under cold water.
