Instructions
- Prepare the dough by whisking warm water, warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a mixing bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add butter, salt, and 1 cup of flour, then mix on low speed, adding another cup of flour until incorporated.
- Add the remaining flour and mix until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
- Knead the dough for 5-8 minutes until it is soft and slightly tacky.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle, then shape it into a log and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let the loaf rise for about 1 hour until it rises above the pan.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and bake the bread for 30-34 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool the bread in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack.
