Instructions
- 1. Pour warm water into a mixing bowl and add sugar and yeast, letting it bubble.
- 2. Once bubbling, add butter, dry milk, salt, and flour.
- 3. Knead the dough with a dough hook until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl, about 8 minutes.
- 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a draft-free place until doubled, about 1 to 2 hours.
- 5. Deflate the dough, divide it in half, shape into loaves, and place in greased loaf pans.
- 6. Let the loaves rise until they dome above the pans, about 1 hour.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 350°F during the last 30 minutes of rising.
- 8. Bake the loaves for 30 to 35 minutes until browned, then cool on a rack before slicing.
