Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray.
- 2. In a small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.
- 3. In a medium bowl, mix the pumpkin puree and applesauce until smooth.
- 4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and stir until well mixed.
- 5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth it out.
- 6. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
- 7. Bake for 20-24 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
- 8. Allow to cool for 20 minutes before cutting into 9 pieces.
