Ingredients

The chicken

  • 4 8-oz Boneless skinless chicken breasts

The seasoning

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • ¾ tsp Sea salt
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper

The wrapping

  • 8 slices Bacon (regular, not thick cut)

Optional flavoring

  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) and prepare a baking sheet with foil and a rack.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. Brush both sides of the chicken with olive oil and season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Wrap each chicken breast with two slices of bacon, tucking the ends underneath.
  5. If desired, brush maple syrup over the bacon.
  6. Bake the chicken for 18-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 163-165°F (73-75°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
