Pesto Pizza Rolls

pizza sauce (for dipping, optional)
Instructions
- Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit until foamy.
- Mix 1 cup flour and salt in a bowl.
- Add olive oil to yeast mixture and pour into flour mixture; stir until thick batter forms.
- Gradually stir in more flour until a dough ball forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about five minutes.
- Place dough in a bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a rectangle.
- Spread pesto over the dough, add pepperoni and half the cheese.
- Roll the dough into a log and slice into 8 pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased casserole dish and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake for about 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
