The chocolate coating

semi-sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
Instructions
- Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
- Beat the softened butter in a large bowl until creamy, then add peanut butter, vanilla, and salt, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add confectioners’ sugar and mix until the mixture is soft yet crumbly.
- Incorporate M&M’S into the peanut butter dough using a spatula or your hands.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheets.
- Chill the balls in the refrigerator for 1 hour until firm.
- Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each peanut butter ball in the melted chocolate and place back on the baking sheet.
- Allow the chocolate to set in the refrigerator before serving.
