Ingredients

The chicken

  • 1 lb skinless chicken breasts

The coating and sauce

  • ¼ cup flour
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 ½ tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • cup honey

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts in half horizontally to make 4 cutlets and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge the chicken cutlets in flour on a plate.
  3. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 2-3 minutes on one side.
  4. Flip the chicken and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the garlic and the last tablespoon of butter to the pan, cooking for about 1 minute.
  6. Stir in the vinegar, soy sauce, and honey until well blended.
  7. Coat the chicken in the honey garlic sauce, ensuring it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  8. Serve the chicken over rice and drizzle with additional sauce.
