Spinach Rice Breakfast Bowls

Ingredients

  • ½ cup cooked seasoned rice
  • ½ cup frozen chopped spinach
  • ½ Tbsp butter
  • 1 large egg
  • pinch salt
  • pinch pepper
  • splash hot sauce

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil one inch of water in a small saucepan with the lid on.
  2. 2. Once boiling, add the egg, cover, and boil/steam for exactly six minutes.
  3. 3. After six minutes, pour out the hot water, rinse the egg with cool water, and peel it immediately.
  4. 4. In a bowl, combine the cooked seasoned rice and frozen chopped spinach, then microwave for about two minutes until heated through.
  5. 5. Add butter, salt, and pepper to the rice and spinach mixture.
  6. 6. Place the peeled egg on top, drizzle with hot sauce, and enjoy.
