Instructions
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper.
- Form the meat into 6 balls, each just over 6 ounces.
- Heat the Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat.
- Add 2 tablespoons of oil and place the meat balls on the griddle.
- Smash the patties down to about a 4-inch diameter.
- Cook for about 3 minutes until charred.
- Flip the burgers and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add cheese to each burger and cover to melt the cheese for about 45 seconds.
- Transfer the burgers to a plate and allow them to rest.
- Brush the griddle with the remaining oil and reduce the heat to medium.
- Toast the buns cut side down until golden brown, about 1 to 3 minutes.
- Serve the patties on the buns with desired toppings.
