Instructions
- Combine mayonnaise and adobo sauce in a bowl and chill.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, add onion and salt, and cook until softened. Add garlic and spices, then cool.
- Slice and grate the cheese.
- Mash black beans in a bowl, then mix in cheese, egg, chiles, breadcrumbs, and onion mixture.
- Form the bean mixture into balls and smash them into patties.
- Butter the buns and toast them in the skillet until golden.
- Cook the patties in the skillet until browned, adding cheese on top to melt.
- Assemble the burgers with mayo, lettuce, patties, onion, and tomato.
