Ingredients

  • lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 large white or yellow onion, grated
  • 4 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 large egg
  • ¾ cup breadcrumbs
  • tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
  • ¼ cup fresh chopped mint
  • 3 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • to taste lemon juice and fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, grated onion, pressed garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, olive oil, parsley, mint, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the ingredients together until fully combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 12 portions and form into burger-sized patties.
  4. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
  5. Cook 3-4 patties at a time for 3-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  6. Serve with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon juice.
