Italian Sausage, Peppers and Onions with Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage links
  • 9 oz mixed color bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 2 oz sliced onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ cup Rao's Marinara Sauce
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the sliced sausage in a skillet until browned, then remove it from the pan.
  2. While the sausage cooks, slice the peppers and onion and mince the garlic.
  3. Heat olive oil in the skillet, then sauté the vegetables and garlic until softened.
  4. Add the sausage back to the pan, then stir in the Marinara sauce and adjust seasoning.
  5. Alternatively, for the sheet pan method, toss all ingredients with olive oil and bake at 400°F for 40 minutes, stirring halfway through.
