Ingredients

The French Toast

  • 10 slices King’s Hawaiian Bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

The Raspberry Sauce

  • cups frozen raspberries
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon cold water

Instructions

  1. 1. Dry out the bread slices overnight on a plate if possible.
  2. 2. Prepare the raspberry sauce by heating raspberries, water, and honey in a saucepan until bubbling, then add dissolved cornstarch and stir until thickened.
  3. 3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, eggnog, flour, vanilla, and optional cinnamon until smooth.
  4. 4. Preheat a griddle to medium-high heat and melt a small pat of butter on it.
  5. 5. Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, ensuring it's fully saturated, then place on the hot griddle.
  6. 6. Fry the bread for 5-8 minutes, flipping once, until both sides are golden brown.
  7. 7. Serve the French toast topped with raspberry sauce and any additional toppings you like.
