Instructions
- Preheat the waffle iron.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- Add the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Coat the waffle iron with cooking spray.
- Spoon ½ cup of batter into the waffle maker and cook according to the manufacturer's directions, about 6 minutes.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve immediately, topped with maple syrup and berries if desired.
