Goat Cheese Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Dates

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Split each date in half without fully breaking them apart and remove the pit if present.
- Insert a small piece of dark chocolate into each date, then add a small amount of goat cheese and press to close.
- Cut the bacon strips in half and wrap each half around a stuffed date, placing them seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Brush each date with maple syrup and sprinkle with cayenne pepper if desired, then secure with a toothpick.
- Bake for 10 minutes, turn the dates on their side, bake for another 10 minutes, then flip and bake for a final 10 minutes or until the bacon is golden brown.
