Ingredients

The roast

  • 2 pounds boneless pork shoulder roast
  • to taste kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

The sauce

  • cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  1. 1. Season the pork with salt, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes, then place it in the slow cooker.
  2. 2. Mix the broth, balsamic vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce together and pour over the pork.
  3. 3. Drizzle honey over the pork and set the slow cooker to cook for 4 hours on High or 6-8 hours on Low.
  4. 4. Once cooked and tender, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  5. 5. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and ladle ½ cup of sauce over it, keeping it warm until serving.
