Ingredients

  • 1 ⅓ cups Baker’s Corner All Purpose Flour
  • 3 tablespoons Baker’s Corner Baking Cocoa Powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¾ cup white granulated sugar
  • ½ cup Simple Nature Organic 100% Pure Avocado Oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Stonemill Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 drop red food coloring gel
  • ½ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Beat together the sugar and avocado oil until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract and red food coloring.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just mixed.
  6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough in the fridge for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  8. Scoop out dough using a medium cookie scoop and roll in powdered sugar.
  9. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet, spaced about 4 inches apart.
  10. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until they appear crackly and puffed.
  11. Let them cool on the baking sheet for at least 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
