Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Arrange the taco shells inside a 9"x13" baking pan.
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and cook the onion until softened.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, taco seasoning, and salt and pepper, then simmer for a few minutes.
- Divide the refried beans among the taco shells, then top with the ground beef mixture.
- Sprinkle cheese over the taco shells and bake for about 10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven and top with shredded lettuce and salsa before serving.
