Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw cashews
  • 1 small lemon, juiced
  • 1 cup water

Optional Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 pinch white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup or coconut palm sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Soak the raw cashews in water for at least 3 hours or overnight in the refrigerator, or use boiling water for a quick soak of 15 minutes.
  2. Drain the soaked cashews and place them in a blender with lemon juice and 1 cup of water.
  3. Add any optional ingredients as desired for savory or sweet variations.
  4. Blend the mixture until very smooth.
