Ingredients

The dough

  • 12 ounces warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • teaspoons salt
  • ¼ cup olive oil

The toppings

  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
  • to taste flaked sea salt

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a mixer bowl and let sit until foamy.
  2. Whisk together flour and salt, then add to the mixer in batches while kneading until smooth.
  3. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl, covering it to rise until doubled in volume.
  4. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment or oil, then punch down the dough and form it into a 12-inch circle.
  5. Brush the dough with olive oil and let it rise again until doubled.
  6. Preheat the oven and dimple the dough, then brush with more olive oil and sprinkle with rosemary and salt.
  7. Bake until lightly browned, then cool and cut into wedges.
