Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Soak the red onion in cold water to reduce bitterness.
- Whisk together mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, oregano, crushed red pepper, and minced garlic.
- Toss the dressing with iceberg lettuce, red onion, and pepperoncini, then season with salt and pepper.
- Slice the Italian loaf in half and spread Calabrian chili paste on both sides.
- Layer Havarti and Colby jack cheese on one half and the meats on the other half.
- Bake in the oven for about 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the meat is warmed.
- Top the meat with the salad, tomato slices, onion, and parmesan cheese.
- Slice the sandwich in half and serve.
