Quinoa and Oatmeal Breakfast Bowl

Ingredients

The base

  • 1 ½ cups almond milk
  • ¾ cup old-fashioned oats
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¾ cup cooked quinoa

The toppings

  • 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • cup berries
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds

Instructions

  1. Combine almond milk, oats, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Add cooked quinoa and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in ground flax seeds and maple syrup.
  6. Divide into serving bowls and top with berries and pumpkin seeds.
