Instructions
- Soak and rinse the black beans, then drain and place them in the slow cooker.
- Add bacon, onion, garlic powder, bay leaf, cumin, chili powder, oregano, and broth to the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, adding salt in the last 30 minutes.
- Check the beans periodically and add more liquid if needed.
