Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Reserve 1 cup of the crumb mixture for topping and refrigerate it.
- Mix baking powder and baking soda into the remaining crumb mixture, then add buttermilk, egg, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Combine the reserved crumb mixture with brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the batter.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan, and let it cool completely before serving.
