Instructions
- Dice the onion and sauté it in butter over medium heat until soft.
- Shred the cabbage and slice the apple while the onion cooks.
- Add the cabbage, apple, vinegar, water, and salt to the pot with the onions.
- Cover the pot and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender (20-30 minutes).
- If the pot dries out, add more water as needed.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with pepper, salt, or vinegar if desired.
