Ingredients

The nuts

  • 2 cups roughly chopped and toasted nuts

Optional ingredients

  • kosher salt
  • sweetener of your choice (maple syrup, sugar, honey, etc.)
  • additional seasonings if desired

Instructions

  1. Place the toasted nuts in a high-power blender or food processor.
  2. Blend the nuts until they become fine crumbs, scraping down the sides as necessary.
  3. Continue blending until a thick paste forms, then blend until it reaches a buttery consistency.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in your chosen sweetener and any additional seasonings.
