Steak Tips with Mushroom Gravy

Instructions
- Marinate the beef in a mixture of soy sauce and sugar for 30 minutes to 1 hour, then drain and pat dry.
- Rehydrate the dried porcini mushrooms in beef broth using a microwave, then mince them and reserve the broth.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and brown the beef in batches, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, add more oil and sauté the fresh mushrooms until browned, then add the onion and cook until it starts to brown.
- Stir in garlic, thyme, and flour until coated, then add the reserved mushroom liquid and beef broth, scraping the pan.
- Return the beef to the skillet, simmer until cooked through, and season to taste.
- Serve with buttered noodles if desired.
