Ingredients

  • 24 pieces wonton wrappers
  • 6 ⅓ tablespoons sugar
  • 2 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon light butter
  • 3 medium apples
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. Mix 10 teaspoons of sugar with 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a small dish.
  3. Lay out the wonton wrappers and mist with cooking spray, then coat both sides with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  4. Press each wonton wrapper into the muffin tin to form cups and bake for 8 minutes until crispy.
  5. In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the diced apples, cooking for about 5 minutes.
  6. Combine the remaining sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, and water, then pour over the apples and simmer until thickened.
  7. Spoon the apple mixture into the baked wonton cups and return to the oven for another 3-5 minutes.
