Ingredients

The asparagus

  • 1 pound asparagus stalks, trimmed

The seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

For garnish

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and coat a sheet pan with cooking spray.
  2. Whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Arrange asparagus stalks in a single layer on the pan and drizzle the olive oil mixture over them, tossing to coat.
  4. Roast the asparagus for 10-15 minutes until tender and lightly browned.
  5. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
