Easy Broiled Shrimp

Ingredients

The shrimp

  • 1.5 lbs. raw jumbo shrimp, thawed, deveined, and peeled
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons cajun seasoning

Honey Butter Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to high broil and prepare a baking sheet with tin foil or non-stick spray.
  2. Pat the shrimp dry and mix them in a bowl with olive oil and cajun seasoning until fully coated.
  3. Transfer the shrimp to the baking sheet and broil for 4 minutes, flipping at the 2-minute mark.
  4. Once cooked and firm, remove the shrimp from the oven and let them rest on a plate.
  5. In the meantime, whisk together melted butter, honey, lemon juice, salt, and pepper for the sauce.
  6. Serve the shrimp with the honey butter sauce or over pasta or rice.
