Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups whole grain cornmeal
  • ¾ cup white whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 1 ½ cups buttermilk
  • 1 to 2 tbs honey
  • 3 tbs melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the dry ingredients together and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the wet ingredients.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  6. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
