The sauce

bourbon

brown sugar

Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Add garlic to the pan and cook for 30 seconds.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together bourbon, brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, water, soy sauce, and cornstarch.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Sprinkle with green onions and serve immediately, preferably over rice.
