Oven Baked BBQ Salmon

Ingredients

The salmon

  • 16 to 18 ounces salmon fillet

The marinade

  • ½ cup gluten free hickory BBQ sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ to 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking pan.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry and place them on the baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, vinegar, honey, garlic, black pepper, and salt, reserving some for basting.
  4. Spread the marinade generously over the salmon.
  5. Bake the salmon for 11 to 14 minutes until nearly cooked through.
  6. Optionally, broil for 1 to 2 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  7. Let the salmon rest for 2 minutes before serving, then brush with reserved sauce.
