Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 8" square baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, walnuts, raisins, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg.
- Mix well and then add the diced apple, mixing until well distributed.
- In a separate bowl, combine the milk, buttermilk, honey or maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir well.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is browned and the center is set.
- Let cool slightly before serving, or chill completely to cut into bars.
