Instructions
- Mix ground chicken, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, 1 teaspoon minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Roll the mixture into balls, about 2 tablespoons each, and arrange them on a baking sheet.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the meatballs for about 2 minutes on each side.
- Remove the meatballs and add the remaining garlic to the skillet, stirring until fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes to the skillet and bring to a boil.
- Nestle the browned meatballs into the sauce, cover, and simmer until cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Uncover, season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and cover until melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
