Instructions
- Remove stems from the apples and soak them in hot water mixed with lemon juice or vinegar for 1-2 minutes.
- Scrub the apples thoroughly to remove wax and dry them completely.
- Insert a stick into the top of each apple, pounding it in lightly.
- Prepare the caramel, ensuring it cools to 180-190 degrees F.
- Dip one side of the apple in caramel, slowly lifting it out to avoid bubbles, and repeat until fully coated.
- Scrape off excess caramel and place the apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool.
- Decorate the cooled apples with melted chocolate and desired toppings.
- Refrigerate until set and package in cellophane bags if desired.
