Foolproof Homemade Bagels

Instructions
- Combine flour, salt, and yeast in a food processor.
- Whisk together water and barley malt syrup, then add to the dry ingredients and blend for 60-90 seconds.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl and cover it, then refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
- Boil water in a large pot and add barley malt syrup.
- Divide the dough into 8 or 12 pieces and shape into bagels.
- Boil each bagel for 30 seconds on each side.
- Transfer boiled bagels to a towel-lined sheet pan.
- Brush with egg wash and add desired toppings.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F for 20-25 minutes until golden.
