Ingredients

The pastry

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons water

The filling

  • 8 ounces brie
  • ¼ cup fig jam
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ cup roughly chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Make the egg wash by whisking together the egg and water in a small bowl.
  3. Place the thawed puff pastry sheet on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Center the brie on the pastry and spread fig jam on top.
  5. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  6. Fold the sides of the pastry over the brie, sealing with egg wash.
  7. Trim excess pastry, leaving at least one inch around the brie.
  8. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
  9. Brush the outside of the pastry with egg wash.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  11. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
  12. Drizzle with extra honey and serve.
