Easy Sourdough Biscuits

sourdough starter, fed or discard

Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a half sheet pan with parchment paper.
- 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and baking soda.
- 3. Grate the cold butter into the dry ingredients and toss until evenly mixed.
- 4. Add the sourdough starter and buttermilk, and gently mix until a rough dough forms.
- 5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat into a rectangle about 1-inch thick.
- 6. Fold the dough into thirds, then press it back into a rectangle and repeat once more.
- 7. Cut the dough into 12 to 14 squares or use a round cutter, placing them on the baking sheet.
- 8. Bake for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
- 9. Brush the tops with melted butter and serve warm.
