Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup water
  • pinch salt
  • to taste lemon zest (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over high heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 6-10 minutes until thickened.
  4. Stir the sauce with a whisk to help break down the cranberries.
  5. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving warm.
