Ingredients

  • ¾ teaspoon ground sage

  • ½ teaspoon ground thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried marjoram (or dried oregano)
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 pound uncooked 99% lean ground turkey breast

Instructions

  1. Mix all spices together in a small dish.
  2. Combine the spice mixture with ground turkey in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix thoroughly using hands or a fork, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight if possible.
  4. For patties, divide the mixture into eight 2-ounce balls and flatten into patties.
  5. Cook patties in a sprayed skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  6. For crumbles, cook the turkey mixture in a sprayed skillet, breaking it into small chunks for 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
