Ingredients

The pancake

  • ¾ cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon coarse salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

For serving

  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • to taste strawberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Blend the milk, eggs, flour, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla, and granulated sugar until combined.
  3. Melt the butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
  4. Pour the batter into the skillet and transfer it to the oven.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes until puffed and set.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately with strawberries if desired.
