Ingredients

The base

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 4 cups broccoli, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups ham, diced

The egg mixture

  • 12 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. In a sauté pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat, then add onion and broccoli, cooking for about 5 minutes until slightly softened.
  3. Add minced garlic to the pan and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Transfer the broccoli and onion mixture to the greased dish and sprinkle diced ham on top.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk, then add salt, pepper, and cheddar cheese, mixing well.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the broccoli and ham, stirring until evenly distributed.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the egg is set and begins to turn golden, then let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
